Also make sure you have an abundance of information to include in local listings. Make sure you include the NAP, opening hours, a map, and of course, customer reviews.

It might go without saying, but making sure you understand who is looking for you will help with local SEO. Make an effort to get a clear understanding of exactly who your potential local customers are and then use that information to your advantage.
